About Our Church
The True Worship Church of Jesus Christ is Pentecostal in experience (identifying with Acts 2:38), Apostolic in doctrine (Acts 2:42-And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Our doors are open to "ALL" people, regardless of age, race or cultural background. Our church family is a friendly group of people, with the love of God in our hearts.
Statement of Beliefs
We believe that the Holy Bible is the Word of God. It is true. It contains the
keys to inheriting eternal life. (John 5:39).
We believe in the oneness of God, who was the Father in creation, the Son in
redemption, and today, He is the Holy Ghost in the Church. (I Timothy 3:16).
We believe that Jesus is God, for in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives
in bodily form. (Colossians 2:9).
We accept God's plan of salvation of baptism by water and spirit. Jesus
Christ, who was our perfect example, though sinless, was baptized to fulfill all
righteousness. (John 3:5; Matthew 3:15)
We believe that rebirth by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential today as it
was in the days of the Apostles. (Acts 2:4).
Church History
In 1997, Elder Allen N. Fowle, Jr., and his family relocated from the state of New York to Delaware, to fulfill the vision the Lord gave him to start an Apostolic Assembly. While living in New York, Elder Fowle and his family attended the Beulah Church of God in Christ Jesus, pastored by Apostle Wilbur L. Jones, Sr.
In the year 2000, Pastor Fowle began a home bible study that eventually led to the birth of The True Worship Church. In 2003, while pastor was in prayer, seeking direciton from the Lord, the Lord spoke to him and told him to go to Delaware City. Although Pastor Fowle had never been to Delaware City prior to that day, he immediately obeyed the voice of the Lord
Upon entering the city, Pastor and Sister Fowle met Mr. & Mrs. Nash. They directed Pastor Fowle to a vacant church building, formerly known as St. Peters United Methodist Church; one of the oldest churches in Delaware City. This church was established in 1873, and closed it's doors for service on November 15, 1998. The building had been vacant for five years. After researching ownership of the property, Pastor Fowle felt led by the Lord to make an offer on the building. With the help of the Lord, the True Worship Church was able to purchase the building in July 2003, without having to obtain a mortgage.
On Sunday, September 18, 2004 the True Worship church opened it's doors for service. On Sunday, October 30, 2004 the True Worship Church was dedicated to the Lord, by Bishop Curtis Bordley of Greater Love Temple.
Once again, the Lord blessed the True Worship Church with property. In October 2006 with the help of the Lord, we were able to purchase the adjacent lot without having to obtain a mortgage.
March 2012, the True Worship Church purchased a new facility in Smyrna, Delaware on 8.1 acrea; the new facility opened in April 2015, and dedicated to the Lord by Apostle Wilbur L. Jones, Sr., Pastor of the Beulah Church in Brooklyn, New York,
